Positions

Substitute Bus Driver
Bus drivers safely transport students to and from school and school-sponsored activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Washington State CDL license (or willingness to acquire one)
- 21 years or older
- Less than three moving violations within the last five years
- Complete a drug test
- Must be able to successfully complete the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø bus driver training

Substitute Clerical
Clerical staff type, file, copy and organize materials for distribution and recording information. They may also supervise elementary students at recess.
Qualifications
- Complete Kent Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø District administrative assistant level I (C) testing (or higher) with a score of 70 percent or higher. The test may be taken for free by appointment only.

Substitute Custodian
Custodians perform custodial duties in the facility assigned to ensure a safe, clean learning environment our students and staff.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 40-50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to climb ladders to reach roofs and attics
- Ability to work effectively in tight quarters

Substitute Food Service Helper
Working from the central or school kitchens, food service helpers produce and serve meals to students and staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current Food Handler’s Permit ()

Substitute Food Service Warehouse Driver
Food service warehouse drivers deliver food and supplies from the central kitchen to our schools.Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Washington State driver’s license
- Forklift training certificate
- One year of experience driving a delivery truck or similar vehicle

Substitute Paraeducator
Paraeducators work alongside teachers assisting students throughout their day.
Qualifications
- Associates degree or
- 72 college-level, quarter-hour credits or
- Completion of the Educational Testing Service (ETS) ParaPro Assessment with a score of 461 or higher. The assessment may be taken for a $60 fee by appointment only. Please call (253) 373-7209 for more information.
